The Bat Conservation Trust has a range of different online training courses, webinars, talks and modules available, ideal for doing in your own time. 

See here for those currently available. 

These include a FREE 30 min course on Bat Care for Non-Bat Carers, how to look after a grounded bat until it can be passed to a trained bat carer. (When 'this time of year' is referred to it's mid/late summer when the recording was made).

Also, a Bat Care Theory - Foundation Course, an ideal starting point to get an idea of what is expected of carers.  Further training and practical experience is the next step.

Come and join members of the Kent Bat Group for a FREE guided bat walk at Mote Park.

The park is great place to watch and listen for bats with at least 9 species recorded over the year. We're pretty much guaranteed soprano pipistrelle and Daubenton's bats and with our specialist equipment will be able to hear their echolocation calls and feeding buzzes.
